As AI reshapes classrooms, we must rethink what intelligence means
Asking whether LLMs are “really intelligent,” as if intelligence were a sacred disposition that either lives inside humans or does not, is no longer the most useful question. Intelligence is better understood as the organised performance of many cognitive functions such as abstraction, analogy, memory retrieval, inference, planning, translation, summarisation, explanation, pattern recognition, and adaptation.
