About Hindustan Sphere
Hindustan Sphere is a Indian news aggregator with an original analytical layer. We pull headlines from 67+ publishers across the political spectrum, group stories that cover the same event into comparison clusters, and rate every source on political lean and reliability so you can see how indian news is being framed before you click.
What we are — and what we're not
We are not a publisher. We do not write or republish articles. Every headline on this site is sourced from a third-party publication, summarized briefly under fair use, and linked back to the original. When you click a story, you go to the publisher's site — they get the page view and the ad revenue on the article body.
What we do produce is original analysis on top of that aggregated stream:
- Cluster comparison. When the same event is covered by 3+ outlets, we surface every version side-by-side on a
/cluster/page so you can compare framing, sourcing, and emphasis across the spectrum. - Bias spectrum. Every publisher carries a left/center/right classification and a reliability rating. On cluster pages we visualize the distribution of coverage so you can see at a glance whether a story is dominated by one lean.
- Hot-score ranking. Stories rise on the home page based on cross-source coverage volume + recency, not based on a single editor's pick. The aggregate signal across publishers is the editorial voice.
- Source transparency. Every publisher we ingest is listed on our sources page with their classification, region, and the categories they contribute to. We don't hide the bias of our inputs — we surface it.
See our methodology page for the full mechanics of how we cluster stories, classify publishers, and rank what surfaces on the home page.
Who we cover
India in one feed — politics, business, markets, tech, sports, and culture from every major Indian publisher.
Primary sections we surface:
Editorial guides & analysis
Beyond the aggregation feed, we publish evergreen long-form guides that explain how indian institutions, sectors, and ongoing stories actually work. Each guide is reviewed periodically and dated honestly — no fabricated specifics, no recycled press releases. The intent is to give a reader who follows the news casually a working primer they can refer back to.
Browse the full set on our guides page. Recent topics include:
- The Indian economy in 2026: a working primer
- A reader's guide to Indian politics
- The IPL explained: format, history, business
- India's startup ecosystem in 2026: a snapshot
- The monsoon and Indian agriculture: a working guide
Cluster pages also carry our original bias-spectrum analysis and side-by-side framing comparison. The coverage stats dashboard publishes live numbers on volume, source diversity, and political-lean distribution — verifiable, refreshed hourly.
How we're built
Hindustan Sphere runs on a small ingestion pipeline that fetches RSS feeds from our publisher list every 15 minutes, deduplicates across sources via a clustering algorithm, and writes the canonical view to per-tenant databases. The site you're reading is a Next.js application that renders those clusters, plus the comparison views and bias spectrum.
We are an independent operation. We are not part of any media conglomerate. We are not funded by political organizations. We accept advertising via Google AdSense, displayed in standard slots clearly labeled as advertising. We do not run sponsored content and we do not accept payment to surface, suppress, or reframe stories.
Our commitments
- Attribution always. Every headline links to its publisher. We don't republish article bodies. We use fair-use length summaries (typically under 50 words).
- Bias visible, not hidden. We don't pretend to be neutral by suppressing classification. We classify and surface the lean of every source so the reader can compensate.
- Reliability over hot-takes. Sources known for fabrication or low editorial standards are downweighted in ranking and labeled visibly. See editorial standards.
- No political endorsements. Hindustan Sphere does not endorse candidates, parties, or political causes. We have no opinion column.
- Open about errors. Misclassified sources, broken clusters, or stories that should be flagged differently get corrected with a visible note. See corrections.
- Reader privacy. We don't sell reader data. We use Google Analytics for traffic measurement and AdSense for advertising — both with consent banners. See privacy.
How we make money
Hindustan Sphere is free to read with no paywall. We're supported by Google AdSense, displayed in clearly-labeled slots between content. We may add a Pro tier in the future for ad-free reading, custom alerts, and saved-cluster export — but the core comparison view will always be free.
We do not take affiliate fees on news content. The exception is deal/discount pages on our community sites (Hyderabad Adda, Mana Hyderabad, Telangana Buzz) where affiliate links are clearly labeled with rel="sponsored".
Where we are
Hindustan Sphere is a Indian-focused publication serving primarily Indian readers. Our infrastructure is hosted on Vercel (edge-cached globally) and Turso (database, replicated across regions for low latency). Reader data is stored in the region closest to the property they signed up on.
