'Our consent wasn't taken': Punjab govt objects to appointment of new HC CJ
The Punjab cabinet passed a resolution against the Centre's appointment of Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra. This action was taken after the Centre notified the appointment without state government consent. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann stated this violated constitutional norms and procedures.
