India’s first Asiad heptathlon gold medallist Barman suspended after positive doping test
Former Asian Games champion Swapna Barman has been provisionally suspended by NADA after testing positive for Boldenone, a banned anabolic-androgenic steroid. Barman, 29, made history by becoming India’s first Asian Games gold medallist in the heptathlon at Jakarta 2018. She represented India at the 2016 Olympics and retired earlier this month, citing persistent injuries and physical strain.
