Iran's currency hits new record low, as war erodes Iran's economic stability
Iran's currency, the rial, fell to a record low, exceeding 2.5 million rials for one US dollar. This decline occurred just weeks after the rial reached a previous low of 2.2 million rials to the dollar on September 2. The currency has been on a downward trend since the onset of the war in February.
