Giovanni Castellucci, former head of Autostrade per l'Italia, gets 12 years for Genoa bridge collapse that killed 43
An Italian court today sentenced Giovanni Castellucci, former head of Italian motorway operator Autostrade per l'Italia, to 12 years in prison for his role in a disaster that killed 43 people when a bridge collapsed near Genoa in 2018. Judges found him guilty of manslaughter through negligence.
