18 ancient Egyptian tombs found with gold tongues for the afterlife
Recently, a remarkable discovery was made with the unearthing of eighteen ancient Egyptian tombs near Marina el-Alamein. Among the intriguing artifacts found were sealed stone slabs, an impressive granite coffin, and dozens of gold tongues strategically placed in the mouths of mummies to assist them in speaking in the afterlife. Additionally, an intricately designed offering altar and a statue of Aphrodite were also uncovered, shedding light on ancient burial practices.
