New CEO gets $58 million, on one condition Apple must meet
Apple will pay new chief executive John Ternus a $3 million salary and a stock award targeted at $55 million for fiscal 2027, an SEC filing showed. Three-quarters of that equity vests only if Apple's shareholder return beats the S&P 500. Tim Cook, now executive chairman, gets about $47 million. Ternus took charge on Tuesday, nine days before Apple's September 9 iPhone event.
