How Puducherry offers housing sites to homeless and underprivileged communities
Puducherry is extending its generous initiative that provides free house plots to economically disadvantaged families and those belonging to scheduled caste communities. Since its inception in 1981, the scheme supports individuals who do not have land for housing. Eligible applicants must be Indian citizens with a yearly family income below Rs 24,000 and need to present a range of documents including identity, residence, income, and caste certificates.
