After asking AI company to file for bankruptcy, Disney makes an offer to its employees
Disney has proposed to hire over 60 employees from Character AI, which recently filed for bankruptcy protection. The offer includes a total compensation plan amounting to around $180 million over three years. Moreover, former Character CEO Karandeep Anand joined Disney prior to the bankruptcy announcement. State attorneys are advocating for protective measures for underage users if a buyer acquires Character's platform.
