Jharkhand should 'revisit' DGP appointment rules, says Supreme Court
The Supreme Court stated that the appointment process for Jharkhand's DGP likely violated its previous judgment regarding officer tenure. The court issued a notice to Tadasha Singh, appointed shortly before her retirement. The Central Government argued that Jharkhand's amended regulations overstepped the Supreme Court's mandate on DGP appointments.
