Nighttime light exposure may change heart structure and function, study finds
A new investigation has unveiled that nighttime exposure to artificial lighting can transform heart structure over extended periods. Increased light during the night is linked to a heightened likelihood of heart failure and strokes. It causes small but significant alterations in the thickness of heart muscle. Although some changes can be attributed to disturbed sleep, additional factors are at play.
