Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is available in limited 70mm IMAX theaters worldwide. This scarcity stems from aging technology and the lack of new projector manufacturing. IMAX must rebuild and retrofit its old machines, which are large and complex. The film prints themselves are also massive, weighing hundreds of pounds. This combination restricts screenings to only forty-one global locations.
