‘Damage control’ after EC row: Congress demands SIR rollback, CEC’s resignation
Congress has called for the suspension of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls and the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar. The Election Commission defended its decisions amidst concerns of disenfranchisement of voters and internal disagreements. Congress leaders accused the Commission of inadequately addressing issues with Form 6 changes related to voter registration.
