Richard Osman teased Lowden's potential casting on his podcast, sparking widespread internet discussion. Lowden, known for 'Slow Horses', would be the first Scottish Bond since Sean Connery. Producers suggest the new 007's identity may be revealed by the end of this year. The next James Bond film is slated for a 2028 theatrical release.
