Here's how Dolly used her Whitney royalties to give back to community
Dolly Parton, who wrote "I Will Always Love You" in 1973, credited Whitney Houston's iconic cover for making it a global hit. She used the royalties to fund a Nashville complex supporting the Black community, calling it "the house that Whitney built." Parton, who also ran the Imagination Library, died Aug. 25 at 80.
