Frozen like Pompeii, Ujjain’s 42 twisted skeletons await answers
42 skeletons unearthed at Kumhar Tekri in Ujjain await modern scientific analysis. These remains, discovered nearly nine decades ago, present a significant archaeological puzzle. Shell jewelry and urns were found among the skeletons, which date to around the 3rd century BC. Archaeologists seek permission to excavate a nearby site with a large stupa for context. Modern methods like DNA analysis and radiocarbon dating could clarify the ancient community's identity.
