IPS officer Manzil Saini cleared UPSC while pregnant, later won gallantry medal
Manzil Saini, a 2005-batch IPS officer, has built a notable career spanning major investigations, senior policing roles and a gallantry award. She gained attention through the kidney transplant racket investigation, later becoming the first woman to serve as Lucknow SSP. In 2017, she helped rescue a kidnapped doctor in Meerut and received a Gallantry Medal in 2024. Her record also includes scrutiny over the Shravan Sahu case, followed by a departmental inquiry that cleared her in 2023.
