On the Chaturthi Tithi, or the fourth day of the auspicious festival, Goddess Kushmanda is worshipped.
Each day of the festival is associated with a different manifestation of the Goddess Durga. The Shardiya Navratri festivities began on Oct. 11.
The second day of Shardiya Navratri falls on October 12, with devotees worshipping Maa Brahmacharini and wearing white, a colour associated with purity and peace.
