Quincy Jones spent decades turning a 2.3-acre Bel Air hillside into a private estate designed around his life, music and love of entertaining. The late record producer bought the land for $200,000 in 1972, then commissioned architect Gerald “Jerry” Allison to create a sprawling custom home inspired by a luxury resort in South Africa.
