Cristiano Ronaldo moved closer to 1,000 career goals after scoring in Al Nassr’s 3-1 victory over Al Faisaly, taking his official tally to 982. However, the goal sparked controversy after a deflection raised questions about an own goal. While the Saudi Pro League credited Ronaldo, Opta and other platforms disagreed, leaving him 18 goals away from the historic milestone.
