The Union Cabinet has approved the establishment of a Rs 10,000 crore SME Growth Fund for small and medium enterprises. This initiative aims to provide equity, liquidity, and professional support to foster growth. Existing funds typically support early-stage micro enterprises, leaving a gap for SMEs needing growth capital. The fund will focus on enterprises in Tier II and Tier III industrial clusters.
