Two Syrian pipelines damaged in fresh blow to war-hit energy network
Two pipelines transporting gas and petroleum products in Syria experienced damage due to separate incidents. An explosion occurred on the Jbessa gas pipeline, igniting a fire that required emergency response. Meanwhile, a leak occurred on the Baniyas-Homs pipeline, believed to be linked to attempted fuel theft. The Syrian Petroleum Company is working to repair the damaged sections and maintain gas supplies.
