Joey Brown endured a life-changing gas explosion that led to severe burns and extensive surgeries. He regained independence through employment with support from his community and vocational rehabilitation services. While working in a high school cafeteria, he developed meaningful relationships and has become an encouragement to others. Brown is now aiming to buy his own home and adopt a beagle named Snoopy.
