‘Civilisational twins’: Rajnath meets Sri Lankan prez, steps up India’s defence ties
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in Colombo. They discussed multifaceted partnerships and regional safety, security, peace, and prosperity. Sri Lanka reiterated its commitment to India's security interests and acknowledged India's assistance. Both leaders virtually inaugurated three Bailey Bridges constructed by Indian defence forces. Memorandums of understanding were exchanged to boost defence cooperation between the two nations.
