Man accused of cultivating opium poppy gets relief as J&K HC refuses to cancel bail
The Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh high court upheld a bail order for Ghulam Nabi Mir. He was arrested for cultivating opium poppy on a small plot of land. The court found no violation of bail conditions after his release. Restrictions under Section 37 of the NDPS Act were not applicable. The high court dismissed the Union Territory's plea challenging the bail.
