From sugar subsidies to PLI schemes, here's what New Delhi is defending at WTO
India currently defends nine trade disputes at the World Trade Organization. The government has spent approximately Rs 2.43 crore on legal services for these cases. Japan, China, the EU, Brazil, and Australia are among the challenging countries. Disputes involve steel imports, sugar support, and ICT tariffs. China also challenges India's production-linked incentive schemes and technology measures.
