Charlize Theron founded the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project in 2007 to empower African youth against HIV/AIDS. The initiative focuses on health education, prevention, and providing scholarships for exceptional young leaders. It has reached over 4.8 million young people across Southern Africa during its operation. Collaboration with local organizations has enabled effective community-based health education and support programs.
