D-Street poised for positive start as GIFT Nifty signals gains
Benchmark Nifty encountered a decline of 0.7% on Monday, driven by growing geopolitical tensions. Market analysts foresee a cautious atmosphere in India, primarily due to volatile crude oil prices and the crisis in West Asia. Foreign portfolio investors exited the market, selling shares worth Rs 1,708 crore, whereas domestic institutional investors invested Rs 3,045 crore. The rupee's strength increased by 96 paise, marking its largest gain in six months.
