Ajinkya Deo initially auditioned for King Dashrath in Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana'. Veteran actor Arun Govil was later finalized for the role of Dashrath. Deo then accepted the significant role of Sage Vishwamitra in the epic film. Several look tests were conducted to finalize his appearance as Vishwamitra. The film, featuring a star-studded cast, is slated for a November 2026 release.
