Sohum Shah confirmed Alia Bhatt's casting in the highly anticipated Tumbbad 2 sequel. She expressed excitement about joining the dark fantasy universe created by the makers. Nawazuddin Siddiqui was previously confirmed as another major addition to the cast. The film will continue exploring the mythology surrounding the cursed deity Hastar. Tumbbad 2 is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 3, 2027.
