Western Australia created two reefs with 60 concrete boxes; fish species rose from 12 to more than 60
Launched in 2013, purpose-designed artificial reefs were deployed along Western Australia's coast, leading to a remarkable transformation of the seafloor. In a span of three years, fish species surged from a mere dozen to an impressive sixty.
