Idaho couple's 47-year land dispute takes turn as Supreme Court reverses ruling favouring state
An Idaho couple who have farmed beside an old barbed-wire fence since 1979 are fighting the state over 5.95 acres of land they believed was theirs. Greg and Leah Sempel say they used the land for decades before Idaho acquired the neighbouring property in 1996. On October Tuesday, the state Supreme Court overturned an earlier ruling favouring Idaho, allowing the couple to continue their ownership claim.
