Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay attended Silverstone to support Ajith Kumar's racing event. Vijay waved the green flag, officially starting the Michelin Le Mans Cup race. Actor Trisha Krishnan was also present at the circuit while filming in London. Ajith Kumar's team finished thirty-eighth overall after a challenging two-hour contest. The team currently holds twenty-one championship points after the Silverstone round.
