Aspen Estate Sale Closes: Slack and Away founders net $5m gain; sale not linked to separation
Stewart Butterfield and Jen Rubio recently finalized the sale of their Aspen estate for $30 million, right after their separation. They originally acquired the property for around $25 million in January 2021, yielding a nice profit despite initially aiming for $45 million. The estate has been purchased by David and Erika Sands, professional poker players, who now add it to their diverse real estate holdings across New York and California.
