Cabinet clears Rs 1,789cr intelligent traffic system for Delhi, first planned before 2010 CWG
The Union Cabinet has approved a Rs 1,789 crore Intelligent Traffic Management System project for Delhi. This project will feature AI-enabled traffic signals and real-time congestion detection across key corridors. The system aims to enhance traffic management by integrating existing signals, CCTVs, and AI technology. It will improve the movement of emergency vehicles and assist in identifying traffic violations.
