Lucky loser Dhakshineshwar Suresh makes history for Indian tennis at Winston-Salem
Dhakshineswar Suresh achieved his first ATP Tour victory at the Winston-Salem Open. He defeated Marcos Giron in straight sets, serving seventeen aces during the match. Suresh, ranked 394th, won 6-3, 7-5 in just over an hour. This marks the second Indian singles player to win a main draw match at this event. Suresh will now face Argentina's Juan Manuel Cerundolo in the next round.
