Rights groups raise concerns over pension payout split on elderly
The United Forum for RTI Campaign and the Human Rights Forum have urged the State government to ensure social security pensioners continue to receive their full pension amount at their doorstep in a single payment, they say the proposed split between doorstep delivery and Direct Benefit Transfer could create hardship and confusion for lakhs of beneficiaries, particularly those in remote tribal and rural areas with limited access to banking facilities
