Court rejects Nevada ranchers' demand to swiftly remove excess wild horses
On October 29, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit upheld a decision favoring federal officials regarding wild horses. Ranchers Colvin & Son, LLC and Stone Cabin Ranch challenged the Bureau of Land Management's Gather Plans for lacking a specific timetable. The court ruled that the Wild Free Roaming Horses and Burros Act does not require a fixed timeframe for removals.
