According to Naseem Mukri, Babita Kapoor was against her daughter Karisma Kapoor's relationship with Abhishek Bachchan, insisting on hefty financial demands to grant her blessing for the marriage. The Kapoor family reportedly viewed Abhishek's status unfavorably. Consequently, their engagement ended in 2003. Karisma later tied the knot with Sunjay Kapoor, while Abhishek found love with Aishwarya Rai.
