5.9 earthquake rattles Japan: 23 injured, trains disrupted; no tsunami threat
In the early hours of Sunday, eastern Japan experienced a moderate earthquake, with injuries reported for over twenty individuals, primarily minor. The strong tremors caused significant disruptions in transportation services, including train delays across the region. A water pipe burst was noted in Tokyo, alongside power outages affecting numerous homes. Fortunately, no tsunami threat emerged, and nuclear facilities remained secure.
