Fifty years on, F-16 still isn't done evolving as latest variant takes to the skies
The F-16 Fighting Falcon has reached another milestone with the maiden flight of the Block 72 variant. This aircraft is built for the Royal Moroccan Air Force and includes modern upgrades to enhance its capabilities. It follows a significant order for 25 new jets and upgrading existing aircraft. The F-16's design evolved from insights gained during the Vietnam War, focusing on lighter and more agile aircraft.
